WHAT’S YOUR FLAVAH?

A strong group of friends gave me the honor in assisting and being a part of a Black History Month project dedicated to the support of the minority community. The videography was filmed by Cecilia Martinez (@cecy.210). The video editing was done by me (@Flavah_Media).

It all begins with an idea.

Video editing is a passion of mine and with a strong passion for visual effects I took editing to expand my skillsets within the arts to provide visuals of day-to-day life, as well as the liveliness of the inner streets. With the goal of sharing the true life of the streets, I want to bring street fashion, street art, and street dancers into the light. It’s more than just art, it’s a lifestyle.

Life of A Dancer.

As an entertainer, dancer, and choreographer the passion I have for dance is tremendous. From performing at the talent show in high school, to forming a Hip-Hop crew in school to stay out of trouble and out of the streets. From being a dancer and costume performer at Sea World to a dancer and choreographer for the San Antonio Spurs Team Energy, as well as being a contestant on So You Think You Can Dance the life and adventures of a dancer has brought me nothing but great experiences and phenomenal memories. Taking upon dance as a career is a difficult feat to accomplish, but I wouldn’t have been given the talent and skillset if I was not worthy. So, if you’ll continue to follow me on this journey, I will continue to show you the inside of FlavahLand. Follow the journey on instagram at @Official_FlavahTv or on youtube at “FlavahTv”

Hip Hop and a Dj will always have a bond like no other. With Djing being one of the 4 elements of Hip Hop, it would be a form of disrespect not to have made this a passion and something to push as a career. Having a type of control over how the dance floor is formed and how people will move, and groove gives you a certain type of high and adrenaline rush. Being the “One that keeps the party going” is an enormous task because your job is to try and not let anyone leave that dance floor.

Finding different ways of blending music from classical to reggaeton and even EDM is one of the things that I love the most about djing. There are endless options, and each time is a new adventure. From local jams, events, bars, and house parties you will find Dj Flavah providing the tunes through your speakers.
